Grief Is Not for Everyone is a photographic project that intertwines book and exhibition, photography and installation.
Death and grief belong to different registers of human experience. Death is a limit, an absolute end that excludes the very possibility of meaning — it cannot be experienced, for it is the moment of complete absence. In this sense, death is an anti-experience: a boundary that allows nothing beyond itself.
Grief, however, is the opposite — it is experience par excellence. It is the continuation of death within life — the way absence settles into presence and corrodes it from within. If death is inaccessible to language, then grief is the place where language attempts to replace it, to give it form, ritual, image. That is why grief is an event that is always personal, yet never merely individual: it is a universal field we share, even when each of us experiences it alone.
BOOK
At the heart of the project lies the eponymous book “Grief Is Not for Everyone.” It contains photographs taken over the course of eight years — a slow and persistent process in which time itself becomes a co-author.
The book contains three chapters:

II. Picking at Wounds, Until Sleep
III. The Spider Crosses the Lake on Its Own Silver Thread
The book casing will be made out of my signature glycerin-gelatine material.
EXHIBITION
The same material will be used to make the pieces of the exhibition. Framed plates and sculptures.
